Once upon a time there was a family of ducks. They lived near a small pond right outside the forest. The youngest of the duck children was a uncontrollable wild little thing. She was always getting into trouble. The family would swim, feed, and play in the pond during the day. However every night they had to take cover in the forest. This was necessary because the back then had no feathers not like the ones they have today.
One day the youngest duck was having a little too much fun in the pond, when her parents called her she didn't hear them. The rest of here family made their way into the woods as the little duck stayed and played. As the night grew on she began to get colder and colder. Soon she was so cold she couldn't swim. She made her way to shore. She hit in the tall grass to keep warm, but it wasn't warm enough. So she pulled out some grass stems and covered herself with them. This dept her warm enough till morning when her parents came to find her. They saw what she had done with the grass and decided it was a great plan. From then on the whole family stared covering them selves in grass to keep warm. As time when on the grass slowly began to stick to their skin and soon enough it became part of their bodies.
